I think I may have been bitten by some sort of delayed time-release spring cleaning bug. That's the only way I can explain the studio reorganization project I've been consumed with the past couple of weeks.
I spent some time getting reacquainted with one of my favorite books, The Organized and Inspired Scrapbooker, cowritten by the amazing Wendy Smedley. (Incidentally, it was recently announced that this book is being reprinted and will be available again in November - yay!)
It's been several years since I set up my little Creativity Zone, and some of the ways I had things organized weren't working as well as they used to. So I've been purging paper and embellishments I no longer love, and rethinking the way I store things. The bare bones of my organization is the same, but I'm making some minor tweaks here and there based on how I look for things these days. It feels good to reflect on my ever-evolving process and change things up a bit.
One of my favorite ideas from the book is the portable journaling kit. I recently found a great divided wire basket at the Target dollar spot that was perfect for organizing all of my journaling bits and pieces, so I finally set one up.
Amazing how just a little bit of reorganization can make me so happy...and inspired!
