I was tagged by (the other) Tami, so here goes.

7 random things about me:

~ I turn the volume up really high on my computer when I empty the recycle bin, because I like the crunch sound it makes. 

~ I have never been stung by a bee.

~ I can only fall asleep with the TV on. I need to zone out to some show to get my brain to shut off. If I just lie down and close my eyes in a quiet room, I start thinking of a million things and wind up getting out of bed to do stuff. Once I am asleep, I sleep like the dead. You could drive a freight train through the room and I would not wake up.

~ I have a thing for colanders. I have at least 5 of them in various sizes in my studio right now, holding things like buttons, new purchases, stuff to make hair goodies, etc.

Oddly, I have only one (fugly white plastic) colander in my kitchen.

~ I hate anything orange flavored because it reminds me of the St. Joseph's baby aspirin and Triaminic my mom used to force me to take as a kid. Just typing that practically makes me gag. I like actual oranges, though.

~ I have a superhuman sense of smell, the uncanny accuracy of which completely freaks my husband out. He thinks I might have been a bloodhound in a former life.

~ My favorite flower is the Gerber daisy.

You know how there are things you say you’ll never do, and then one day you find yourself doing them? Like, cleaning your kids with spit? Or starting a blog?

Admittedly, I can barely find the time to LIVE my life some days, let alone write about it. In cyberspace. Where strangers and crazy people can read it. Not that I believe there is a throng of voyeuristic lunatics salivating as they lurk in wait for the next fascinating installment from this suburban mom/scrapbooker. (Right??)

At any rate, I do hate to miss out on a good trend. Plus I’m thinking that organizing my thoughts someplace outside of my head is not a bad idea. Even if (as my friend Lois so astutely pointed out) it could hinder my children’s chances at running for public office in the future. So kids, don’t think I’m not taking that into consideration when I share with the world how one of you (and you know who you are) tried to shoplift BubbleTape from Limited Too by hiding it under your baby sister. I promise to only put damaging evidence into the public eye if it is absolutely worth the laugh.
