While my blog has been here, languishing in abandonment, I have been off cavorting on the beach, splashing at the pool, meandering through the air-conditioned mall, and just generally enjoying the heck outta summer.

I’ve also been busy with a couple of fun, scrappy endeavors - a new Projects Now class for Big Picture Scrapbooking that should be available soon, and an awesome new venture that I’m not allowed to say anything about just yet, other than I am thrilled beyond belief to be involved! I can’t wait for you to hear about it…I promise to share more info as soon as I’m able.

Aside from all of that, I’m preparing to leave in a week and a half for CHA (the big summer craft industry trade show in Orlando). I’ll be Tweeting pics & updates from the show floor, so let me know if there’s anything in particular you want me to scope out. Also, if you have any product tips for taming my hair in 99.9% humidity, pass those along. Otherwise, I’ll be the one who looks like Roseanne Rosannadanna.

I’ve got two tickets to paradise

Well, actually I’ve only got one, and it’s all mine…but you can get one, too.

I’m super excited to be involved with the first annual Craft & Crop Retreat at the Desert Springs Marriott Resort in Palm Desert, August 6 – 10. It’s going to be so much fun! Guests can come for 2, 3 or 4 nights – up to 88 hours of crop & craft time. There will be some fantastic classes and lots of good, old-fashioned girl bonding over paper, adhesive and chocolate, in a fabulous resort setting complete with an awesome spa. My cohorts, Mitzi and Charise, are two of the most fun people I know, so we could very well break the fun-o-meter on this trip. I am so looking forward to it!
