So, my studio is a complete mess. Way out of hand. Worse than it's been in a long time. Fact: I have too much stuff. And when I get bogged down with projects, I don't put things away as diligently as I should. Or, um, ever.
So I've decided the first step in finally doing something about this mess, instead of moving the piles to the side when I need to work on something, is to put my shame on public display. ;)
See what I mean? It's bad.
I want to start 2012 fresh, with a space that inspires me to create, rather than shut the door and avoid it. So Operation: Fresh Start begins today!
Can you relate? If so, play along! I've mobilized a force of like-minded mess-makers on Twitter to start cleaning up their creative spaces with me, and to keep each other accountable.
All you have to do to start 2012 with your own Operation: Fresh Start is post a before pic of your messy craft area someplace. Link me up here, or on Twitter or Facebook. Then get busy cleaning and we'll all share our after pics while we start the shiny new year with shiny new spaces.

I'm with you! Thanks for being inspiration...Again! Here...we...go!

That is a mess I can totally relate to... though my room has been more guest room than craft room this month so it's actually kind of neat at the moment, but I definitely have my best ideas when I only have a 2 inch square of space to work on ; )

We know that it doesn't look like this anymore after your great start to Operation Fresh Start yesterday. Keep us posted on your progress, please! I am proud of you!

Your room definitely has a lot of potential and I'm sure it'll look awesome when you're done. I only photographed one area before I started since I was already fast into the process after my hubby put together two big bookcases for my craft room (xmas gifts!) - the mission began before I even realized it. There's some minor clutter on my desk since I first tweeted about it, but once the kiddos are back in school, I'll be back to on track with Operation Fresh Start!

So... how did the clean out, purge and cleaned up room turn out?
I am in the mood to do my room also but am waiting for our youngest to leave for boot camp (which will be this coming Monday). I need some where to put the things when I clean the whole room out to start over and to preoccupy my mind.
