This week has been a bit of a blur to me, with some big deadlines, the kids off school, Thanksgiving shopping & preparations, and just the general craziness of my life. I can't believe tomorrow is Thanksgiving already. And then it's the Christmas season - yikes!
My plate is quite full these days. At least tomorrow my full plate will include pie...
If you can relate to feeling spread so thin you barely have time to notice your life, let alone record your cherished memories and stories, then I think you will like what I'm about to show you.
The MyBook adaptable planner is my 2011 answer to getting important memories and moments jotted down regularly, whether or not I have immediate time to blog or scrapbook.
This clever calendar comes in either 4x6 or 6x8. It has a customizable cover and lined areas that will fit a few sentences each day of the week, plus a page for lengthier notes at the end of each month. And the coolest part? Interspersed between the calendar pages are archival pockets for snapshots, mementos, ephemera, or even mini scrapbook pages.
I've gone electronic with my calendar obligations, but I think this format is ideal for brief daily (or, let's be realistic...semi-daily) journal entries and everyday memorabilia. I can see myself referring back to it for journaling information and bits and pieces of daily life to use on my scrapbook pages. I can also see it being a scrapbook in it's own right. Let's face it, some things never quite make it to a traditional scrapbook page, but how cool to have a year's worth of journaling snippets, quotes from the kids, and memorable odds and ends to look back on. And without the pressure of having to anything else with them unless the mood strikes.
And because the company is awesome, they are offering my blog readers a buy 1, get 1 at 50% off plus $3 ground shipping deal. It expires 11/30/10. Just enter the coupon code TMMB2me at checkout. This is a great way to practice the "one for you, one for me" rule with your holiday shopping!
But wait, that's not all...I also have a 6x8 MyBook just like mine to give away to a lucky blog reader. All you have to do is leave a comment and tell me your favorite thing to fill your plate with on Thanksgiving. I'll choose a winner on Monday.
May your plate be full of good things tomorrow...Happy Thanksgiving!
