My phone interview with the dynamic Lain Ehman of 30 Minute Martha is now available for your listening pleasure, in case you missed it.
One of the topics that came up during our conversation about fun and creativity was my car, which I originally blogged about here, at Ella Publishing.
It does garner a bit of attention, but that's not why I did it. Aside from being a self-expressive kind of gal, I have accidentally tried to open the wrong white mom-mobile in the grocery store parking lot more than once. Let's just say that doesn't happen anymore. ;)
Mostly, people want to know how I did it - is it painted on, is it permanent, did I do it myself, does it stay on when I wash it?
The answers are no, no, yes, and as far as I can tell. They are actually decals that I cut from colored vinyl, using my Cricut Expression. I would have a more definitive answer on that last question if I washed my car more frequently, but so far so good.
Like I said in the Ella post, creativity is a lifestyle choice for me. I don't believe that some people are born creative and others aren't...I think we've all got a creative spirit in there somewhere. It becomes more available to us when we choose to let it out to frolic as often as possible, and feed it by finding adventure, novelty, and inspiration in the everyday stuff.
How will you feed your creative spirit today? Tell me in the comments...or just go do it. :)
