Greetings from sunny (& humid) Orlando, Florida! I am attempting to blog from my phone for the first time. Crossing my fingers that it works!
I'm here for the CHA (Craft & Hobby Association) summer trade show, with some super cool scoop for you.
Have you met Ella?
Who is Ella, you ask? Ella is a brand new publishing company masterminded by two of my favorite people, Lain Ehmann and Angie Lucas. But those aren't the only cool peeps involved.
The amazing Cathy Zielske is doing all the graphic design work, and upcoming titles feature the brilliance of Simple Scrapbooks and industry favorites like Sara Winnick, Margaret Scarbrough, Rebecca Cooper, Wendy Smedley, Renee Pearson, Margie Romney-Aslett, and Stacy Julian.
How am I involved? Aside from being a very willing cheerleader, I am honored to have been asked to join the Ella-Friends team. You can check out the "Have you met Ella?" link in the side bar to see who my awesome teammates are.
What is different about Ella? Well, for one thing, it's in business (RIP Simple). But the main distinction is that Ella is the ONLY publisher to offer professionally designed, photographed, & edited eBooks to the papercrafting market. They are gorgeous (I've had a peek!) and high quality enough to print if you like a hard copy. Or you can just save a tree & enjoy from your computer screen.
The first book is being released mid-August, an you can look for a book a month after that. Prices will around $4.99 - $5.99 each. But that's not all! Ther will also be a FREE monthly eZine called Ellaments, with ideas, how-tos, tips, interviews, and more.
Hurry over to www.ellapublishing.com and sign up for the email list to be in the loop. You can also follow @ellapublishing on Twitter, and join the Facebook group.
Is that exciting or what??
