So where did we leave off? I think it was Tuesday, but I need to back up to Monday again for just a minute.
To avoid Trade Show Pack Mule Syndrome, I swapped my big purse for my little sling bag with just the essentials (lip balm & eye drops for the dry convention center air, phone, camera, business cards, Kind bars to snack on, money for the ridiculously expensive parking garage, gum to combat garlicky chicken Caesar wraps…). It had been a few months since I used this bag, and when I arrived at the convention center and opened the outside pocket to put my car key away, I found this:
Seriously. On the same day that my Smart Cookie Fortune Keeper class opened at BPS. The weird thing is that this is the kind of fortune I totally treasure. I obviously tucked it away in my purse as meaningful when I got it, but I don’t even remember it. At all. Could there have been a more perfect day to rediscover it?
So back to the new releases. Here is a quick recap of the photos I Tweeted on Tuesday. I apologize that the quality is not stellar – they are cell phone pics. It is just way easier than dealing with uploading to my sluggish computer.
Love this line. Fancy Pants is a perennial fave of mine,
and I am especially excited about these fun new kraft papers.
Love these antique-looking buttons

My Little Shoebox:
By Wednesday afternoon, I was zonked. After four days of traipsing the aisles, I was just about to head home when I came upon the adorable Emily Pitts, collapsed in a chair, enjoying a foot massage.
She talked me into joining her (which wasn’t too difficult to do) and then we both looked like this:
After a few minutes we got a second wind, and headed over to the Prima booth to see Donna Downey’s new canvas album that everyone is abuzz about. Lucky for us, Donna was there and posed with her super cute album.
I seriously cannot wait to make one of these. It looks so fun – there are both canvas pages, and regular page protectors, so you can intersperse traditional pages with fabric ones. And – get this – there is teeny zig zag stitching along the edge of the page protectors. I thought Donna added that when she made the sample, but nope – it comes that way! I wish I had a pic of the stitching, but you’ll just have to get one and see for yourself when they hit the stores.
So that’s it on the photos. I am still going through my notes, and working on my list of trends and favorites. I hope to have that up in the next day or two.
