I know I’m a few days late ringing in the New Year in Blogworld. I owed my family some face time after a couple days of putting myself on studio arrest to get stuff done.
I am jumping on the bandwagon with the “One Little Word” challenge for the first time this year. After much deliberation (because I tend to obsess over stuff like this) I have finally decided that my word will be (drumroll, please)...
I love that this word can mean to achieve, or it can mean to know, understand, or become aware. This will be the year for realizing goals and potentials, as well as a year of better awareness, engagement, and understanding. I also plan on real-“izing” things in a very literal sense – living and scrapbooking a “real” life, and trying to keep my expectations (of myself and others) realistic.
I started Project 365 on January 1. I talked my sister into doing it with me, and ordered a kit for her as well. This is the same sister who said she would NEVER start scrapbooking because she doesn’t have time. She is going to have 365 photos (give or take) on display in an album with journaling…first the scarf, now this! I can hardly contain myself!
I don’t know if I will get around to posting all of my Project 365 photos here. That involves resizing, and I’m trying really hard to keep this project doable for myself (see above comment about realistic expectations). But here are my first three, and then we’ll see how it goes after that.
I started my first scrapbook page of 2009 last night, and finished it up today. I will scan & share it as soon as I get the pile of stuff cleared off the top of my scanner. I need to do a big studio purge & some reorganization, and the junk on my scanner is first on the list.
I hope 2009 is off to a good start for everyone!
