In celebration of
National Charity League’s 50th birthday and the 10th
anniversary of our chapter, we had a Fashion Through the Decades event last
week. Kendra’s class was assigned the 90s and we had to dress up accordingly.
One of the clever moms had the bright idea that since our girls were all born
in 1990-91, they should dress as toddlers, so Kendra had a
Michelle Tanner ponytail on top of her head with a big curly bow…that she
actually wore in the 90s. Only she was a lot shorter then. I wore a big denim shirt with button covers (c'mon, you know you had 'em too!), and a hair scarf tied in a big bow, which was my signature 'do before the Rachel cut came along.
Unfortunately, I was unable to find a super-hot looking fanny pack on short notice, but we were awarded the certificate for cutest mother/daughter team anyway. I’m pretty sure it was my awesome bangs that sealed the deal.
