I’ve been plugging along on my summer default setting for the past couple of weeks, and as a result haven’t been very productive. I have been content just to be able to stay ahead of the dirty towels, hit the shower somewhere on the breakfast side of noon, and keep the kids too busy to fight.
Today I decided it was time to reset my parameters. I cleaned my studio, printed some photos, and started playing around with a couple of ideas. And I finally took a few photos of the idea binder I talked about in a previous post (thanks to a nudge from a friend). You’ll find the link over in the right column. It wasn’t really the easiest thing in the world to convey in photographs, but trust me when I tell you that having all of my collected inspirations categorized and at my fingertips is much more time-efficient than digging through an overstuffed file folder.
In other news, I’m super excited to be heading to L.A. tomorrow for the Felt Club summer craft show. It looks like there are going to be some great vendors, and lots of inspiration to be soaked up. And since I reluctantly decided to be frugal and not make the trip to Chicago for CHA this time around, I am going to need a good inspiration soaking to make up for it. And probably a new purse or something to take my mind off the fact that I’m not there feeling the pulse of the industry next week. At least I’ll be here for the start of the Nordstrom sale.
